Are you looking for some good, gently use books? The Friends of the Gaylord Library house a permanent book sale in the library’s public meeting room. Made up primarily of paperbacks, the collection also includes some hardback fiction and non-fiction as well as children’s books. The book sale is open any time there is not a meeting in progress.
Friends of the Library Book Donation Policy
The Friends welcome your used books as they use the money they raise to purchase library materials that the regular library budget cannot afford. Please think of the Friends when you are weeding your personal collections. They are pleased to accept current bestsellers, paperbacks and children’s books in good condition. If not needed for the library collection, items may be added to the book sale.
While donations are appreciated, we do not accept:
- textbooks
- Reader’s Digest condensed books
- magazines, including National Geographic
- torn, damp, mildewed, musty, yellowed, highlighted or other damaged books
- encyclopedias
- newspapers
All donations must be brought to the circulation desk. Please do not leave them outside or place them in the back drop.
